At WorkDu we believe you should stay in control of your personal data. This page explains exactly what is removed when you delete your account, how to request deletion, and how the process is handled.

How to delete your account

You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. For your protection you may be asked to confirm your password before the deletion is processed. If you signed up with a social login (for example Google), no password is required.

What data is removed

When you delete your account, we permanently remove:

  • Your profile and personal details (name, contact information, summary, location).
  • Your resumes, CVs and uploaded documents.
  • Your job applications, bookmarks/saved jobs and job alerts.
  • Records of who viewed your CV/profile.
  • Your login credentials and account record.

How deletion is processed

Account deletion is immediate and irreversible — once confirmed, the data above is removed from your live account and cannot be recovered. Residual copies held in encrypted backups are cycled out in the normal course of our backup rotation.

Data we may retain

We may retain a limited amount of information where we are legally required to (for example, records needed for tax, accounting, fraud-prevention or dispute-resolution purposes). Any retained data is kept only for as long as the law requires and is then deleted.
